Transition to Linklings, LLC
SIGGRAPH 2018 and SIGGRAPH Asia 2018 are transitioning from the SIGGRAPH Information System (SIS) to a submission and review system provided by Linklings, LLC. If you are interested in submitting content for either conference, we would like to offer the opportunity for you to create and set up your Linklings user account in advance of the program submission date.
SIGGRAPH Asia- November 27-30, BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand
The region’s best minds in computer graphics and interactive techniques are set to convene in Bangkok, Thailand for the annual SIGGRAPH Asia. Held from 27th to 30th November 2017 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), the 10th edition of SIGGRAPH Asia is expected to attract close to 7,000 attendees from over 60 countries.
Computers in Entertainment (CiE), ACM's online-only magazine for technology applications in the entertainment industry, is about to undergo a transformation. ACM is in discussions with CMU’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) Press to join editorial resources and make CiE the go-to hub for this thriving field—everything from practical applications, business strategies, scholarly research, and interviews with some of the industry's leading lights.
Los Angeles, CA - The San Pedro International Film Festival (SPIFFest) celebrates its 6th anniversary presenting from October 5-15, 2017 in San Pedro’s historic waterfront district. SPIFFest has also announced it's moderator and panelists for its Production and Design Panel from SIGGRAPH's very own, Alex Bryant, Chelsea Roehl and Rebecca Yanis. To mark it's 6-year milestone, SPIFFest has it's expanded multimedia programming over two weekends, including music performances and latest technology innovations spotlighting virtual reality.
One of the initiatives in the "Grow and Develop an Active CG Community and Idea Marketplace" in the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee's strategic proposal is to create a moderated Graphic listserv where you as a computer graphics professional can learn about graphics-related jobs, meetings, software, news, journals, and conferences. Please sign up and contribute your job ads and other announcements to the email list so that this email list becomes a useful resource for our community.
In this changing world, ACM SIGGRAPH requires a new and bolder vision. In response to this need, the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee (EC) commissioned a diverse cross-discipline team to develop an overarching five year strategic initiative to ensure our organization and community remain relevant and continues to be recognized as the premier global organization for computer graphics and interactive techniques.
ACM SIGGRAPH is pleased to announce the results of their annual elections. This year members voted on candidates for the positions of President, Vice President and Director-at-Large. Voting ran from June15th though August 15th, with the new EC members taking office in September.
