Organization

Organizational Structure

ACM SIGGRAPH is a volunteer-run organization that hosts a set of conferences and year-round activities for its members. More than a thousand volunteers help create vibrant conferences and an effective organization each year.

The role of the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee (EC) is to guide and oversee all of the activities of ACM SIGGRAPH. The EC comprises Officers, Directors, and Ex-Officio Members who meet several times a year, either in a face-to-face or virtual meeting.

The Directors at Large will serve as liaisons to the Standing Committees (SC), representatives to the SIGGRAPH Conference Advisory Group (CAG) and SIGGRAPH Asia Conference Advisory Group (SACAG), and members of and possibly leaders of Strategy Groups.

Decision Making

The EC is responsible for developing long-term strategies to guide and govern the organization and these strategies will be implemented by the other committees and units of ACM SIGGRAPH. The EC members will lead and/or be involved in a group of Strategy committees that assist this effort.

All decisions shall align with ACM SIGGRAPH’s scope, mission and purpose, promoting the generation and dissemination of information and fostering a membership community whose core values help them to catalyze the innovation and application of computer graphics and interactive techniques.

Committees

Committees serve the SIGGRAPH community, working together to enhance the effort of the organization and align with the current strategic vision. Through specific portfolios, each committee considers how its activities shall benefit the members of ACM SIGGRAPH and how it can enhance these benefits.

See the Committes page for more information on ACM SIGGRAPH’s Committees or Individual Committees.

Bylaws and Policies

These governing documents outline ACM SIGGRAPH’s work as an organization and facilitate its ability to foster a membership community that promotes computer graphics and interactive techniques.
