Call for Nominations

The ACM SIGGRAPH Nominations Committee is currently accepting nominations for the following leadership roles to being on September 1, 2027, unless otherwise noted.

Please note that these positions may change based on changes to the strategic priorities for the organization.

Executive Committee

We are seeking 2-3 candidates for each of these three positions on ACM SIGGRAPH’s Executive Committee. The final candidates will be selected in ACM SIGGRAPH’s 2027 Election. These positions include:

    • ACM SIGGRAPH Chair. We are looking for candidates with a strong strategic vision for ACM SIGGRAPH who are willing to serve a three-year term as the Chair of chair of the organization. This position requires a commitment to providing leadership for navigating the entire Executive Committee. We are hoping for candidates who have experience leading volunteer efforts, who are comfortable with public speaking and leading meetings, and who have time to commit to the position.
    • ACM SIGGRAPH Vice-Chair.  The Vice Chair will fill in for the Chair as needed. Candidates should meet the same criteria as the Chair position and will be expected to shadow the Chair in many activities. The Vice Chair may have other specific duties based on the priorities of the Executive Committee.
    • ACM SIGGRAPH Treasurer. This position has a three-year term, with the first year spent shadowing the existing Treasurer as Treasurer-Elect. The Treasurer leads ACM SIGGRAPH’s finance committee and has stewardship over ACM SIGGRAPH’s finances.

Standing Committees

We are also seeking candidates for several open Standing Committee chair roles. If you wish to know more, we strongly recommend that you reach out to the current committee chair. These positions are appointed by the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee based on the recommendations of the Nominations Committee and will be filled on a rolling basis.
  • Education Committee Chair. The chair provides leadership and operational support to ACM SIGGRAPH’s Education Committee.
  • Membership and Communications Chair. The chair provides leadership and operational support to ACM SIGGRAPH’s Membership and Communication activities, including the website and newsletter, the ACM SIGGRAPH Village, and much more.

To ask questions or to nominate yourself or someone else for one of these positions, please send an e-mail to nominations-chair@siggraph.org
