Why become a member?

Well, there are millions of reasons to become a member of Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH:

1. Joe Cool

First of all, because it's cool, because the people involved are cool, and when you also become a member, well, for the Montreal community, you're doing something really cool!

A network is stronger than the sum of its parts. Meeting people who have the same interests, who are passionate about it and have things to share and learn from each other is wonderful! Come talk to us about what you know or want to learn about.

12. Hygrade

The more we have members, the more we have the means of doing cool events, the more interesting we are, the more weight we carry as a special interest group, and the more it gets cool, well, the cooler it is, and so more people will want to become members ( see reason #1 ).

500. Citizen

« Membership has its privileges », as they say : free entrance to special events ( our principal events are free, but not all activities), access to « members only » events and the right to vote. Most of all, it gives you the right to have a say in how the chapter is run, what our priorities should be and what kinds of events you feel are important for the chapter. You can have an direct influence on the evolution and future of the Montreal computer graphics community.

999. Goodies

We often aquire software tools, t-shirts, buttons and other industry paraphernalia to give away during events, to members only. But of course, all of you are above that kind of stuff, right?

www. Web

Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH will be offering web space for its members. It will be possible to edit your own personal pages and invite the world to visit your site!

In short, there are millions of reasons. Oops, still missing is your own reason! We need your creative contribution; we want to count you "in" and we are counting on you.

How do I become a member?

You have two ways of becoming a member:

Subscribe while attending one of our events.

Just show up a few minutes before the event starts and say hi.

Subscribe by mail:

Send a check to Montreal ACM SIGGRAPH, along with your name, address, phone number and e-mail at the following address: Membership ACM SIGGRAPH Montréal c/o 270 48th avenue, Pointe Calumet J0N 1G2

If you are a student you have to enclose a copy of your student card as a proof.

The membership fees are 25$ for regular members and 15$ for students. The membership is annual and valid until September 1st of the next year.
