SIGGRAPH content is freely available in the ACM Digital Library for two weeks before the conference begins, until a week after its conclusion. After the four week "free look" period, SIGGRAPH content can still be accessed at no cost through special links found only on SIGGRAPH.org. Jump to the front of the line by reserving time slots in advance for the mind-blowing virtual and augmented reality experiences at SIGGRAPH 2015. Anticipated to be one of the most popular features of this year's conference, the VR Village offers stand-up and sit-down VR, tabletop AR, nomadic VR (untethered head-mounted displays or AR), full-dome cinema and live performances and demos in a 360-degree immersion dome.

Resumes and reels are a constant source of frustration for students and new graduates. What to include? How much? How should it be presented? All are very important questions, and with answers that vary widely depending on the experience level of the applicant, and the position to which they're applying.
ACM SIGGRAPH is in search of candidates for three open director-at-large positions on the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee, with terms beginning July 1, 2016. The positions are volunteer, with term lengths of three years.
The SIGGRAPH Education Committee has announced a new competition for SIGGRAPH 2015: The SIGGRAPH Trailer Contest.
Submission are now open for the Faculty-Submitted Student Work Exhibit at SIGGRAPH 2015 in Los Angeles. Sponsored by the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee, the exhibit will feature work from secondary (high school) students and university students. Submissions from all content areas are welcome, including art, animation, graphic design, game design, architecture, visualization and real-time rendering.

Members of the newly-launched USC ACM SIGGRAPH Student Chapter are particularly well positioned to volunteer for SIGGRAPH 2015. Literally. The University of Southern California is just two miles from the Los Angeles Convention Center, which will host SIGGRAPH 2015 -- the world's largest international conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques -- from August 9 to 13, 2015.
It's becoming evident that Tehran, Iran, has a vibrant computer graphics community. The Tehran ACM SIGGRAPH Professional Chapter, founded in the spring of 2014, is already hosting events that draw crowds of attendees.
The ACM SIGGRAPH Distinguished Artist Award is given out once a year to an artist who has created a substantial body of work that significantly advances the field of digital art. ACM SIGGRAPH members are warmly invited to nominate individuals for the 2015 Distinguished Artist Award by contacting the ACM SIGGRAPH Artist Award Chair. Nominations are due by December 15, 2014.

ACM SIGGRAPH is pleased to announce the selection of Jerome Solomon, Dean of the College at Cogswell College, as the SIGGRAPH 2017 Conference Chair. Solomon has been previously involved within the ACM SIGGRAPH community and will undoubtedly bring his knowledge and experience to his new role. “His superb skills, grasp of the industry, and professionalism will tremendously benefit SIGGRAPH,” said Rebecca Strzelec, SIGGRAPH Conference Advisory Group Chair. “I am confident that Jerome will take SIGGRAPH 2017 to the next level.”
The 7th International ACM SIGGRAPH Conference on Motion in Games (MIG 2014) will take place in Los Angeles, California, from November 6 to 8. 2014 marks the first year Motion in Games will be held in the United States.
The Munich ACM SIGGRAPH chapter celebrates their launch with a talk by renowned computer graphics expert Paul Debevec. Former ACM President Alain Chesnais will also be present, along with Chair of the ACM SIGGRAPH Chapters Committee, Mashhuda Glencross.
