Student Volunteers
To encourage students to participate in professional computer graphics activities, SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 offers travel assistance for selected SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 Student Volunteers. All awards will be presented during SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 and will be paid in Singapore dollars. All decisions of the selection committee are final.
Travel Assistance Awards applicants must first complete the standard Student Volunteers application. Before submitting the application, applicants must answer several additional questions regarding travel costs and personal financial need, as well as complete one additional personal statement of no more than 300 words, as described in the application.
SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 Travel Assistance Awards will be handled by granting eligibility up to a maximum amount per person. After arriving in Singapore, Student Volunteers must meet their commitment to the program (either 18 or 30 hours) in order to receive their Travel Assistance Awards, and to be eligible to receive tickets to conference programs, receptions, and events.
