Recognition

Interns make a commitment to their duties for a total of either 24 or 12 hours (approximately) between Monday, 14 December 2009 and Saturday, 19 December 2009.

All interns will receive a Conference Access badge (equivalent to Full Conference registration, excluding conference documentation). All interns who fulfill their commitment may also be eligible to receive a copy of the Conference Proceedings following the conference.

Interns who fulfill 24 hours or more and who do not live in the Yokohama-Tokyo area (or whose commuting time is more than two hours) can apply for up to six nights of accommodation in conference housing. Housing is provided according to need and availability. Up to six Interns of the same gender will be assigned to each room. Further information on housing will be provided upon acceptance as an Intern.

All interns are responsible for their own travel to and from Yokohama, as well as their own meals during their time at the conference.

Some limited Travel Assistance Awards and meal vouchers are available, though they are not guaranteed. When these awards are granted by the Internship Program Committee, they establish a maximum amount per recipient. After arriving in Yokohama, Interns must meet their commitment to the program (either 24 or 12 hours) in order to receive the award and to be eligible to receive tickets to events and receptions.

A limited number of graduate students who are majoring in computer graphics or interactive techniques will also be invited to attend a "group lunch" with SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 speakers.
