The ACM Symposium on Spatial User Interaction (SUI) is the first international symposium focused on the user interface challenges that appear when users interact in the space where the flat, two-dimensional, digital world meets the volumetric, physical, three-dimensional (3D) space we live in. This considers both spatial input and 3D output, with an emphasis on the issues around interaction between humans and systems.
Computer graphics research and technology have made immense progress in the last few decades. At the same time, industries have developed to incorporate these results into the production of breathtaking digital imagery.
Welcome to the ACM SIGGRAPH conference on Motion in Games 2013. This is the 6th year of the conference and the first time that it is sponsored by ACM SIGGRAPH. Games have become a very important medium for education, therapy and entertainment. Motion plays a crucial role in computer games. Characters move around, objects are manipulated or move due to physical constraints, entities are animated, and the camera moves through the scene. Even the motion of the player nowadays is used as input to games.
Since 2004, the ACM Symposium on Applied Perception (ACM SAP), formerly known as APGV, aims to further the development of inter-disciplinary research that crosses the boundaries between perception and disciplines such as graphics, visualization, vision, haptics and acoustics. These fields can benefit from the exchange of ideas and the scope includes applications and algorithms in any area of research that incorporates elements of perception and computer science.
What is the SIGGRAPH Asia Conference?
SIGGRAPH Asia is a conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques. SIGGRAPH Asia 2013 is expected to draw more than 7,000 professionals from 52 countries to Hong Kong.
Who will be at SIGGRAPH Asia?
The premier international event on computer graphics and interactive techniques.
This event is co-located with SIGGRAPH 2013, and co-sponsored by ACM SIGGRAPH.
