Submission Guidelines
The Studio is an environment that should appeal to attendees ranging from beginners to experts in computer graphics, rapid prototyping, animation, and interactive techniques. It is open to Conference Select and Full Conference attendees on a first-come, first served basis for periods of up to four hours (attendees can sign up for more than one session, but only one at a time). The Studio is open for business from Sunday afternoon, 21 July 2002, through 6 pm Friday, 26 July 2002. A Wednesday Night Melt Down will be open to ALL conference attendees and will feature a LAN Bash for gamers, a virtual sculpture garden, and a techno-gothic cyberfashion show.
How to Strengthen Your Proposal

  • Organize your proposal according to the Submission Procedure Checklist. Please note that submission requirements are not the same as in previous years.
  • Use clear language and, where appropriate, illustrate your proposal with diagrams and images.
  • Take advantage of the Early Feedback opportunity. Email your ideas in text form. DO NOT submit large attachment files. DO reference a Web site. If you submit a preliminary version of your idea by Friday, 11 January, 2002, you will receive feedback from The Studio chair as to the appropriateness and/or The Studio's potential interest in the concept by Friday, 25 January, 2002. The final deadline for receipt of your proposal is Wednesday, 6 February 2002, 5 pm Pacific time.

Early Feedback requests must be received by: 11 January 2002. Responses will be provided by 25 January 2002.
Final submissions must be received by: 6 February 2002, 5 pm Pacific time.
