ANTZ was not created for young
children, but for a much larger audience. The film sought out
to prove that a teenager or adult would pay to see a genuinely
entertaining animated film. The long, grueling process of first
drawing sketches, building clay models, then digitizing the "antz"
finally paid off in the end. ANTZ became a huge success, not only
as an entertaining film, but as part of a new genre of films animated
entirely with three dimensional computer graphics.
