Online will provide an interactive platform for those who are unable to attend SIGGRAPH 2000. With daily updates on new trends and technology along with articles, photographs, and streaming video, the Online site will be a constantly changing work in progress. Although it will be geared toward keeping non-attendees informed on the conference "buzz," Online will also give its worldwide audience access to interactive stations for information on conference events and activities.
Offsite Production
Interviews will be conducted and articles created prior to SIGGRAPH 2000. Short articles and requests for specific information will be solicited for publication during the conference. Contact the SIGGRAPH TV/Online chair with ideas, suggestions, or recommendations regarding site contents. Tapes that include commercial watermarks or "bugs" will not be accepted.
Onsite Production
A team of Web designers, copywriters, systems managers, and photographers will be on location to continually change and update the SIGGRAPH 2000 Web site. Visitors to the Web site will chat with attendees, view photographs and streaming video, view and control live onsite Web cams, and read articles on newly released products. We will be looking for a talented group of volunteers to serve this important audience.
