Project Details
- "The Virtual Space Fortress" is an interactive and immersive 3D computer game where a lone spacecraft navigates a virtual galaxy complete with star clusters, dark matter, and simple relativistic effects as it seeks out an intergalactic space fortress.
- The path to the fortress is laden with challenges and peril. Using a 3D space mouse to navigate the simulated high speed craft, the participant is subjected to heavy demands of situational awareness.
- The level of spatial and situational pressure is further complicated by requirements to respond to localized 3D audio inquiries and manage a virtual graphical control all in the name of training simulation.
