Project Details

"The Virtual Space Fortress" is an interactive and immersive 3D computer game where a lone spacecraft navigates a virtual galaxy complete with star clusters, dark matter, and simple relativistic effects as it seeks out an intergalactic space fortress.

The path to the fortress is laden with challenges and peril. Using a 3D space mouse to navigate the simulated high speed craft, the participant is subjected to heavy demands of situational awareness.

The level of spatial and situational pressure is further complicated by requirements to respond to localized 3D audio inquiries and manage a virtual graphical control all in the name of training simulation.
