Project Details
- "'Virtual Society' illustrates a new medium that exists across networked computers and enables simulation of real space in more intuitive forms.
- Using CyberPassage Conductor, users can create and edit 3D information worlds that would be impossible or cost-prohibitive in the real space/time axis. At SIGGRAPH 96, Sony presents a beta-version extension for VRML that allows VRML enabled browsers to wander through and manipulate 3D space.
- "Existing electronic media such as the telephone, radio, and TV, were developed with little or no integration, each independently establishing its presence via its consumer base, transmission capacity, and interactive capability. This demonstration is about the convergence of such communication media through a massive network of servers and appliances.
