Project Details
- "Artificial Dolphins" enables human communication with an artificial lifeform in a virtual reality environment.
- The dolphin-style simulated life form swim autonomously in a virtual sea. Real-time computer graphics, motion planning, simulation of water, foams, sprays, bubbles, and 3D sound bring the dolphins to life. Users communicate with a simple gestural interface through a light pen and video cameras.
- This type of real-time communication and interaction with artificial life implies new opportunities in entertainment, education, and communication.
