Project Details
- "SMDK is an interactive environment consisting of a database containing sounds from all over the world. Based on their characteristics and simple artificial-life rules, the sounds become mobile elements (agents) and form a self-organizing system comparable to a simple cultural community."
- Visitors equipped with a tracking sensor can interactively explore the system in a walk-in room. Movement triggers sounds and influences organization. Through a small head-mounted monitor, visitors receive textural navigation information inside the virtual sound space.
