Project Details

This exhibit introduces the PHSColograms (pronounced skol-o-grams) digital 3D imaging process for back-lit, unassisted stereo viewing.

The process takes digital images and uses interlaced renditions. Lamination with various media to produce a barrier-screen or lenticular viewing presentation is possible to create 3D viewable imagery that requires no other intervening technology. The first applications were sculptures in 1983 by sculptress Ellen Sandor.

The patented technology was developed and perfected by (Art)n Laboratory in Chicago.
