Project Details
- This exhibit introduces the PHSColograms (pronounced skol-o-grams) digital 3D imaging process for back-lit, unassisted stereo viewing.
- The process takes digital images and uses interlaced renditions. Lamination with various media to produce a barrier-screen or lenticular viewing presentation is possible to create 3D viewable imagery that requires no other intervening technology. The first applications were sculptures in 1983 by sculptress Ellen Sandor.
- The patented technology was developed and perfected by (Art)n Laboratory in Chicago.
