Project Details
- KA-O-RI is a realtime virtual actress demonstration to explore the potential of interaction between realistic synthetic actors and real people.
- The model was created to be as realistic as possible (based upon photo texture maps of a real person). Using proprietary lip-synchronization software, the actress speaks procedurally based upon a real actress's voice. An additional operator can control performance features such as eye contact, head movement, or expressions via dial/button input to the controlling software.
- The trial was intended to further understand the potential of virtual actors in a future play or entertainment scenario.
