Project Details

The Interactive Brainwave Visual Analyzer System (IBVAS) enables the user to listen and watch video and sound triggered by their brainwaves in a biofeedback loop.

The IBVAS uses a headband, transmitter, and software on a standard Macintosh to allow users to trigger responses that drive a MIDI-synthesizer, laser disk, and animation from another computer.

The result of the biofeedback loop is that when the subject is relaxed, the sound and video are similarly relaxed.
