Project Details

The DARPA High Resolution Video (HRV) workstation enables the integration of digital video as a first class data type within the system.

Using hardware/software from a collaboration between Sun Microsystems and the David Sarnoff Research Center, the HRV provides basic capabilities needed to acquire, store, process, transport, and display uncompressed high-resolution digital video in a window system environment.

This research extends full-motion, high quality video into the workstation windowed environment.
