Project Details

A surrogate moviemap travel program of the Karlsruhe tramway system.

Using digitized imagery from uniformly photographed footage of the entire tramway route, a video disc presentation enables seamless access and traversal of many route possibilities.

Similar to MIT's Aspen Moviemap of the 1980s, VBK is a cinematic approach to virtual reality that promotes sampling of a culture as seen from an historic tramway.
