ACM SIGGRAPH Election Results

This year ACM SIGGRAPH members voted on candidates for the positions of President, Vice President and Director-at-Large. Voting ran from June 15 though August 15. Jessica Hodgins of Carnegie Mellon University was elected President, Brian Wyvill of the University of Victoria was elected Vice President, and Peter-Pike Sloan of Activision was elected Director-at-Large. Congratulations to the new EC members, who take office September 1.

Call for Proposals: Designing Knowledge

ACM SIGGRAPH and the Department of Media from Aalto University welcome works for an online exhibition to showcase how new media and computer graphics technology promote new ways of thinking and doing. Proposals are requested for works that describe how digital archives are used in the creation, dissemination, transformation, and sharing of knowledge.

ACM SIGGRAPH Launches New Strategy

In this changing world, ACM SIGGRAPH requires a new and bolder vision. In response to this need, the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee commissioned a diverse cross-discipline team to develop an overarching 5-year strategic initiative to ensure our organization and community remain relevant and continues to be recognized as the premier global organization for computer graphics and interactive techniques.
