From Fourier Analysis to Wavelets
Fourier analysis and wavelet theory
constitute the fundamental
mathematical framework for
description of functions in the time and
frequency domains. Such representations
are the key element for effective
analysis of function properties and for
efficient implementation of
computational methods. They are very
important in many application areas,
and are instrumental for researchers
and developers who are solving
problems in computer graphics and
image processing.
In this course, participants learned the
mathematical concepts behind Fourier
analysis and wavelets. The target
audience included: people who already
have some experience in signal
processing and want to work with
wavelets, and people who just want to
obtain a general understanding of the
wavelet theory.
