| SIGGRAPH 97, the 24th International Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, 3-8 August 1997 (Exhibition 5-7 August 1997), Los Angeles Convention Center, has already surpassed last year's record of more than 150,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Estimates for 1997 currently exceed 185,000 net square feet, according to SIGGRAPH 97 Conference Chair G. Scott Owen, making SIGGRAPH 97 the largest computer graphics exhibition in the United States. Over 300 of the leading computer graphics companies are expected to showcase their products and services at SIGGRAPH 97. On average, returning exhibitors from SIGGRAPH 96 have expanded their square footage requirements by more than 25 percent on the SIGGRAPH 97 show floor. The exhibition also includes the popular Startup Park, showcasing products and services from emerging vendors in the computer graphics industry. The exhibit hours have been extended for 1997 because attendee surveys indicate substantial interest in more opportunities to see, hear, and interact with the latest technologies and products on the show floor. The new hours are 10 am - 6 pm, Tuesday and Wednesday, 5-6 August; and 10 am - 5 pm Thursday, 7 August. In 1995, SIGGRAPH was identified as one of the top five fastest growing exhibitions in the United States, according to Tradeshow Week. More than 40,000 people are expected to attend SIGGRAPH 97.
