Breast Cancer Lighthouse

The "Breast Cancer Lighthouse" CD-ROM and WWW page were developed by the Communication Technology Laboratory at Michigan State University. This demonstration project combines in-depth personal stories with factual information to introduce a new genre of patient education.

The Breast Cancer Lighthouse opens with a view from inside the lighthouse. A narration gives a welcomes and invites the user to make a choice between "Women's personal stories" and "Cancer information."
