Feature-Aligned T-Meshes
Construction of feature-aligned T-mesh patch layouts consisting of small numbers of quadrilateral patches. T-meshes offer more flexibility for reduction of the number of patches and vertices in a base domain while maintaining alignment with geometric features and retaining many desirable features of quadrangulations.
A Wave-Based Anisotropic Quadrangulation Method
The wave-based quadrangulation method generates anisotropic quads, controls the size and the orientation of the quads in a uniform way to achieve exact feature-line alignmen, and deals with complex shapes, such as small handles or rings, which is difficult with previous methods.
On Centroidal Voronoi Tessellation – Energy Smoothness and Fast Computation
Centroidal Voronoi tessellation (CVT) has many useful applications. The prevailing method for computing CVT is Lloyd’s method, which has linear convergence only. This paper proves that the CVT energy function has second-order smoothness in most cases. It also develops faster Quasi-Newton methods and demonstrates their efficiency and fast convergence.
Lp Centroidal Voronoi Tessellation and its Applications
This paper introduces Lp centroidal Voronoi tessellation and applies it to feature-aware, isotropic/anisotropic, quad-dominant surface meshing, and hex-dominant volume meshing.
