Sessions
Sessions are scheduled events in which contributors present their work to the SIGGRAPH community, usually followed by a question-and-answer period. Most sessions are organized around one or more common topics. Sessions range from highly specialized in-depth presentations by international experts to provocative, free-ranging discussions, demonstrations, and presentations among people actively working on a common interest. Many sessions present work that is documented in journals, but there's nothing quite like listening to the speakers and asking quesions. Meeting new people while attending a session is a SIGGRAPH tradition.
