How to Submit Your Juried Work
This page describes the process for General Submission and Late-Breaking Work.
The submission process for Technical Papers is summarized in Technical Papers Detailed Instructions and Checklist.
Study the Submission Requirements
Make sure that you can provide all the information required for submission of your work to SIGGRAPH 2008.
Prepare Your Work for Submission
Complete your submission and make sure that it is in final format as specified by the SIGGRAPH 2008 submission requirements.
Observe the Submission Deadlines
All deadlines are at 22:00 UTC/GMT:
|General Submission||Wednesday, 30 January 2008|
|General Submission, Materials Upload||Wednesday, 27 February 2008|
|Late-Breaking Work||Wednesday, 7 May 2008|
Submissions received after the deadlines are not accepted.
Complete the Online Submission Form
Use of the online submission form is REQUIRED for all submissions. The form includes instructions on how to complete the online submission process. At the end of the online process, your entry will be assigned a submission identification number (submission ID number), and your completed form will be displayed in your web browser. Your submission form can be edited or corrected as often as necessary before the General Submission deadline (Wednesday, 30 January 2008) or the Late-Breaking Work deadline (Wednesday, 7 May 2008).
Upload Your Materials
All submissions require a one-page PDF abstract, which must be uploaded before the materials-upload deadline (Wednesday, 27 February 2008) or the Late-Breaking Work deadline (Wednesday, 7 May 2008). This abstract is the primary asset that will be reviewed by the jury. Depending on the presentation format(s) you choose, other material uploads may be optional or required. Please see the instructions on the submission form. Your uploads can be altered or replaced as often as necessary before the General Submission Materials Upload deadline (Wednesday, 27 Feb 2008) or the Late-Breaking Work deadline (Wednesday, 7 May 2008).
To avoid frustration and save time, please review the guidelines for Uploading Files.
For detailed instructions on how to format your one-page PDF abstract, please review category 4 in these formatting instructions.
English Review Service
The SIGGRAPH 2008 International Resources Committee offers this service to non-native English speakers: volunteers who are fluent in English will read and review submissions for proper English structure before they are prepared for final submission to SIGGRAPH 2008 programs. This service is limited to stylistic and grammatical review and will not change the content of your submission. For information on how to submit your proposal for stylistic review, see English Review Service.
If your submission is accepted by SIGGRAPH 2008, an Acceptance Agreement will be produced from the Permissions section of your online submission form. You must print that agreement, sign it, and fax it or send it via postal or courier service before SIGGRAPH 2008. If we do not receive your completed, signed Acceptance Agreement, your work cannot be presented at SIGGRAPH 2008.
The Acceptance Agreement is a legal document. It explains the uses SIGGRAPH makes of presented material and requires you to acknowledge that you have permission to use this material. This may involve seeking clearance from your employer or from others who have loaned you material, such as videotapes and slides. The agreement helps prevent situations whereby SIGGRAPH 2008 presentations include material without permission that might lead to complaints or even legal action. In addition, this agreement asks if ACM SIGGRAPH may use your materials for conference and organization promotional material in exchange for full author/artist credit information.
