Student Volunteers

Due to last-minute technical difficulties with our submission system the Student Volunteers application deadline has been extended to 4 March 2007, 11:59 pm Pacific time to accommodate those who were not able to submit their applications before the original 25 February deadline.

Join an elite team of colleagues from universities around the globe at the world's premiere conference for computer graphics and interactive techniques.

Your participation in the Student Volunteers program facilitates the exciting content that draws over 30,000 attendees to the annual SIGGRAPH conference. Participation in the Student Volunteers program will give you a backstage look into the inner workings of this yearly adventure. As a Student Volunteer, you'll be a distinguished part of the SIGGRAPH community. Volunteers are the grease of SIGGRAPH's gears and interact with nearly every conference program. This is your opportunity to begin contributing to the conference.

Full-time students from any discipline who will be 18 years old or older at the time of the conference are encouraged to apply. Volunteers dedicate either 18 or 30 hours of service during the week of the conference. Volunteers who commit to 30 hours of service are also eligible to apply for complimentary housing in San Diego during SIGGRAPH 2007. Students who live outside of the San Diego area may also apply for a Travel Assistance Award to assist with some travel costs.

In your free time, you will find a whirlwind of information at your fingertips. You will have the opportunity to mingle with industry professionals and attend select sessions and events. You will also have the opportunity to hear guest speakers who will offer insight exclusively for Student Volunteers.

Starting this year, you may apply to join a special team to meet and work with world class Emerging Technologies contributors.

Take the first step to becoming part of the mechanism that makes SIGGRAPH 2007 run. Fill out the online application by 11:59 pm Pacific time, Sunday, 25 February 2007. I look forward to seeing you in San Diego!
