Policy on Previous Publication
Previously published work may not be submitted, nor may work be submitted to
any other conference or journal during the SIGGRAPH 2005 papers review period.
A paper is considered published if it has appeared in a peer-reviewed journal or
in published meeting proceedings that are commercially available afterward to
non-attendees, regardless of the language of that publication.
Previous publication of a SIGGRAPH sketch does not preclude subsequent publication
of a complete paper on the same general topic.
Public Disclosure of Conditional and Final Acceptances
Public disclosure of a paper's title, abstract, and contents can have
important commercial and legal ramifications. Authors should be aware that
the titles of papers conditionally accepted for SIGGRAPH 2005 are widely
distributed after the Papers Committee meeting in early April.
Acceptances are finalized around the beginning of May, at which time
all aspects of a paper, including its companion video, may be disclosed
publicly in SIGGRAPH communications.
No information about rejected papers or papers conditionally accepted for
publication in ACM Transactions on Graphics will be made public.
Public Availability of your Paper
The SIGGRAPH 2005 Proceedings will be published as Volume 24, Issue #3
of ACM Transactions on Graphics. The publication date of this issue
is 31 July 2005. Please be advised that in order to receive maximum
international patent protection on your paper's idea, you will need to
file your application prior to that date.
