ACM Student Research Competition at SIGGRAPH 2004
Presentations
Wednesday, 11 August, 3:45 - 5:30 pm
Room 515B
For the first time, the annual SIGGRAPH conference is hosting the ACM
Student Research Competition. Students submitting to the SIGGRAPH 2004
Posters program can opt to have their research poster considered also by
the Student Research Competition jury. If selected, students will receive some financial support for their
travel to the conference and an opportunity to compete at an ACM level.
Student Research Competition at the Conference
From the Posters sessions at SIGGRAPH 2004, the Student Research Competition jury
will select five students to give a brief talk (20 minutes) about their research.
To Participate
The Student Research Competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students whose
posters are accepted by the Posters program. To be considered, complete a
submission to Posters and indicate that you would like to participate in
the Student Research Competition.
Upon Acceptance
Competitors in the Student Research Competition will receive modest support for conference
travel. Competitors should come to the conference prepared to attend one
or more Posters sessions and, if selected for further competition, give a
short talk about their research projects.
