Submission Guidelines
We are interested in hearing about presentations that are process-oriented, that go beyond just demonstrating new work and thoroughly explore a new tip, technique, or technology. These may be targeted at experienced web-graphics professionals, they may cover fundamental issues for newcomers to the field, or they may cater to attendees technically adept in other aspects of computer-graphics technologies, although perhaps not yet as experienced in web graphics. Web Graphics presentations can be of two lengths: one will be 25-30 minutes long, the other 45-50 minutes.
SIGGRAPH 2004 encourages web-related submissions across all conference programs and events. The Web Graphics program is designed to assist, but not replace, the SIGGRAPH conference's traditional offerings. For example, if you feel your submission is more suited to Courses or Panels, feel free to submit there. If you have any questions about the correct program to submit to, please contact the Web Graphics Committee. Bear in mind that many of the other programs have far earlier submission deadlines.
How to Strengthen Your Proposal
Organize your proposal according to the Submission Procedure Checklist. Please note that Web Graphics is a recent program; if you have previously submitted to another SIGGRAPH conference program, be aware that the submission procedures are very different for Web Graphics.
