Submission Procedure Checklist
Use the checklist below to ensure that your submission is complete and meets all applicable program requirements.
1. Complete the online SIGGRAPH 2004 Web Graphics Submission Form. There you will find instructions on how to complete the online form. When you begin the form, your submission will be assigned a submission ID number that will be used to identify your submission throughout the review process.
2. Proposals should be submitted electronically via the online submission process. Acceptable formats: HTML, PDF, and ASCII (clear text). All other formats will NOT be accepted. Full submission procedures are specified in the online submission process. Fax and email submissions are not accepted. Hard copies for offline viewing may be submitted in CD format. NO slides or video, please.
3. If your submission is accepted, all presenters must sign and send in the online SIGGRAPH 2004 Acceptance Agreement. If we do not receive all of the appropriate acceptance agreements before SIGGRAPH 2004, your work cannot be presented.
4. Your proposal should include:
- The SIGGRAPH 2004 Web Graphics Submission Form.
- The name of the speaker and a list of all collaborators and their affiliations.
- A 30-word summary suitable for pre-conference publicity.
- A one-page abstract that describes the proposed talk (not just the project, but the aspect of the project you are planning to talk about) in sufficient detail for evaluation. Your abstract should include one or two images and any necessary illustrations. Please put the title and authors on the first page of the abstract. The abstract will be distributed to reviewers. It is assumed that, if your submission is accepted, this information is ready for publication. For examples of abstracts, see (get some Web abstract PDF¹s linked here)
- Presenter information. Name, title, affiliation, and a short biography (100 words or less) for each presenter.
- Special presentation requirements. Explain requirements for hands-on demonstrations, special equipment, or unusual presentation techniques. Presenters are required to provide any equipment beyond the standard SIGGRAPH 2004 configuration.
We expect all Web Graphics content to be available for review online. However, if you wish to supply a hard copy of your submission for offline viewing please submit in CD format. No slides or video, please.
Ensure that the URL that you provide does not delay the committee and/or jury with a lengthy registration or navigation process to reach the content. It should be easily accessible by all reviewers. And please double-check the URL before finalizing, and keep the link unaltered until after the review process has finished. The submission process may end very early if the link you supply does not work!
Customs
Submitters located outside of the United States should note that customs delays of up to two weeks could occur. Customs labels should bear the words: "Educational material with no commercial value." SIGGRAPH 2004 will not pay any customs fees, duties, or tariffs incurred by your submission.
