The deadline for submission to SIGGRAPH 2004 Emerging Technologies was 4 February 2004. The complete list of accepted projects is here.

In our day-to-day routines we are surrounded by invisible or unnoticed technologies. How will technology offer new ways of expanding our lives or our realities in the future? We implement technological advances because they make life better. Have you created something that enhances or could potentially enhance life? Emerging Technologies is the way to exhibit your latest creative research for a curious, hands-on audience at SIGGRAPH 2004. Whether you have invented a unique way of playing games, new hand-held mobile technologies, or a fantastic immersive experience, we want to see your projects!

Emerging Technologies is seeking life-enhancing works in the fields of robotics, graphics, music, audio, displays, haptics, sensors, gaming, the web, artificial intelligence, visualization, collaborative environments, medicine, biotechnology, design, entertainment, aerospace, the military, and anything else you can imagine. We are particularly encouraging submissions in ubiquitous computing, wearables, hand-helds, real-time graphics, and mobile technologies. As a natural extension of the Enhancing Life theme, experimental art installation works that push the limits of technology are also highly encouraged.

In addition to installing the actual works, all Emerging Technologies contributors will be required to give a presentation detailing their installations and research at SIGGRAPH 2004. A subset of the presentations may be printed in a separate publication or journal.

Submit your work to Emerging Technologies. We invite you to be part of SIGGRAPH 2004, the conference and community supporting computer graphics and interactive techniques.
