  New for SIGGRAPH 2004

Though most of the submission requirements and processes are the same as last year, there are a few noteworthy changes for the SIGGRAPH 2004 Computer Animation Festival.

DVD submissions
This year, works may be submitted on DVD-ROM for jury review. They must be encoded "region-free" (region 0) and can be in either NTSC or PAL format. Ideally, they will have no menus and play immediately, but a menu screen with the default selection to play is acceptable. The timecode selection specified for jury review must be continuous; there should be no "chapter" breaks.

Submission notification
Submitters will be notified via email when the online submission form is completed and the submission package has arrived. However, due to the large number of submissions received near the deadline, you may receive confirmation after the deadline. The committee strongly encourages early submissions to avoid unforeseen circumstances that could prevent your work from being reviewed and accepted.

Please refer to the Submission Procedure Checklist for detailed submission information and the Frequently Asked Questions for answers to common submission questions.

Best of luck!
