Use the checklist below to ensure that your submission is complete and meets all applicable program requirements.
Complete the online SIGGRAPH 2004 Art Gallery: Synaesthesia Submission Form. There you will find instructions on how to complete the online form. At the end of the online process, your entry will be assigned a submission ID number.
See Review and Upon Acceptance to ensure that you can meet all the post-acceptance requirements.
Synaesthesia invites papers that describe the artistic process in digital and electronic media and address the theoretical and critical discourse of computer graphics. Essays are limited to 3,000 words. Include an abstract of no more than 300 words. Do not put any indication of your name in the paper or filename. Only online submissions will be accepted. Files must be in rich text format (RTF), PDF, or plain text (ASCII). Please indicate your file format on your submission form. Accepted papers will be published in the SIGGRAPH 2004 Electronic Art and Animation Catalog. Papers may be presented in the Art Gallery during SIGGRAPH 2004.
Review
All papers will be judged anonymously by a panel of judges. Papers will be reviewed shortly after the submission deadline, and notification of acceptance will be emailed in early March.
Upon Acceptance
Final, edited papers must be received for publication by the beginning of March 2004.
Synaesthesia also encourages all artists and theorists to submit papers and proposals to other programs such as Sketches and Web Graphics, where they have additional opportunities to present their work.
