Birds of a Feather (BOF) events must be free of charge, related to computer graphics or interactive techniques, open to all SIGGRAPH 2003 attendees, and non-commercial in nature (topics specific to one commercial product or company are discouraged). Invitation-only, non-commercially sponsored events are also welcome. All BOFs will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis as to keep with the spirit of a BOF.

Thirty minutes will be added to the start and end times to accommodate set up and tear down.

Birds of a Feather events can be scheduled at the San Diego Convention Center or a SIGGRAPH 2003 Hotel. Space is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Space in the convention center is complimentary but limited. Some hotels may charge a rental fee for space. SIGGRAPH 2003 Conference Management will tell you if there is a fee prior to confirming your space request.

Please Note: The room reserved for pre-scheduled BOFs at the San Diego Convention Center will be set in classroom style (capacity of 90) for the duration of the conference. A $200 fee will be incurred by the BOF organizer if any other room set up is chosen.

SIGGRAPH 2003 reserves the right to cancel any event without notification if the event does not conform to the specific guidelines for Birds of a Feather events.

Event confirmation will be emailed within two weeks of receiving a completed request. The confirmation will include contact information for set up, food and beverage, and audio/visual needs. An incorrectly completed form may delay processing. SIGGRAPH 2003 reserves the right to reassign meeting space as necessary.

Applicants are responsible for individual ASCAP/BMI licensing fees for music played during a Birds of a Feather event. Contact SIGGRAPH 2003 Conference Management for more information.

Applicants are responsible for all charges. No charges in conjunction with the event may be billed to SIGGRAPH 2003. The venue contact may accept changes to attendance estimates, but changes to date and time or room assignments must be made in writing through SIGGRAPH 2003 Conference Management.
