[Submission Guidelines]
For SIGGRAPH 2003, the Web Graphics program is accepting submissions in two categories:
- Web Graphics Presentations
- SIGGRAPH 2003 Web Expo
The Web Graphics program explores and celebrates the best in online graphics and interactivity. Sometimes the most convincing work must be seen or experienced to be understood. The Web Expo is an opportunity to present new and interesting work, with or without explanation. In the Web Graphics Presentations, we are interested in presentations that are process oriented, that go beyond just demonstrating new work and thoroughly explore a new tip, technique, or technology. These may be targeted at experienced Web-graphics professionals, cover fundamental issues for newcomers to the field, or cater to attendees technically adept in other aspects of computer graphics technologies, although perhaps not yet as experienced in Web graphics. We envision Web Graphics Presentations to be of two lengths: one will be 15-20 minutes long, the other 30-40 minutes. Both lengths of presentation will also include 10 minutes for questions and answers.
SIGGRAPH 2003 encourages Web Graphics submissions across all conference programs and events. This new program is designed to assist, but not replace, the annual SIGGRAPH conference's traditional offerings. For example, if you feel your submission is more suited to Courses or the Educators Program, feel free to submit there. If you have any questions about the correct program to submit to, please contact the Web Graphics Chair, but remember that many of the other programs have far earlier submission deadlines.
