Virtual Studio: Virtual Reality in Art
A computer-designed environment that allows users to interact
within the digital environment as they would in a real-world
situation. Virtual Studio is a partially immersive, interactive
virtual learning environment based on the metaphor of
the artist's studio. Its primary use will be to teach
elementary students about the techniques, styles, and
histories of artists and art. Each part of Virtual Studio
is named after a major artist who used or pioneered a
particular style or technique. There are three core sections
of Virtual Studio: architectural design, sculptural design,
and digital painting and color theory.
