Gaming as an Educational Tool: Internet Scavenger Hunt
A Web-based educational game for children ages 8-12 that
encourages and teaches kids how to explore the Internet
through an investigative virtual scavenger hunt. The game
technology is transparent, allowing the user, through
hands-on experience, to develop an understanding of exactly
how computers work. At the same time, the user is introduced
to an unfolding world of animal science. Game play is
organized to foster self-initiated learning as well as
cooperation and communication among participants.
