This is an invitation to animators, scientific visionaries,
interactive designers, interactive performance artists,
motion graphic artists, software designers, programmers,
visual effects artists, and students to participate
in an exciting event: the SIGGRAPH 2002 Computer Animation
Festival.
Subject matter may include any form of visual representation
that employs computer-generated imagery: animation,
motion graphics, entertainment technologies, visual
effects, scientific and medical visualization, interactive
technologies, research and development, education, architecture,
art and design, music, dance, interactive performance,
narrative, non-narrative and experimental works, game
development and design, commercial productions for film
and broadcast, and student productions.
Regardless of the subject area, we encourage submitters
to not only showcase their finished pieces but, when
appropriate, to also illustrate the techniques employed
in creating the work. Before-and-after examples, narrated
explanations, and other informational devices are appreciated
by the jurors and the audience.
