Immersive Technologies, based just north of Boston, Massachusetts, is a privately owned corporation that has developed a proprietary technology to create interactive global illumination and computer generated imagery in seconds instead of hours. The company commenced operations in June of 1999 in Ithaca, New York, based upon the ideas of engineers from Cornell and Carnegie Mellon Universities. Their debut platform, Javelin, is currently being used by customers for architectural and product visualization.
