Courses SIGGRAPH 2000

GraphicsNet was the SIGGRAPH 2000 conference intranet. It served as the link among the many conference programs and events, and as the gateway to the global graphics community. GraphicsNet was built on FastEthernet (100 Mbps) links to the Internet Access Center; the presentation rooms for Papers, Panels, Courses, Sketches & Applications; and the Educators Program; Emerging Technologies: Point of Departure; the Creative Applications Lab; and The Studio.

The production backbone was built with products from Cisco Systems, 3COM, Fluke, and others. It was connected to the Internet through a T3 circuit supplied by the Convention Center. The primary network management workstations and servers used in the Network Operations Center (NOC) were supplied by Sun Microsystems, Inc.
