Space-Time Activities

The Space-Time Exhibition has a new look. The leaders of the Space-Time exhibit have collaborated with the SIGGRAPH 2007 Conference Committee to provide a venue fitting the quality of work in this student competition.

Dena Eber, the Education Committee coordinator for the Space-Time competition, wanted to make the space more of an exhibition space and a place that attendees could go and view the pieces at leisure.

The space has been designed in gallery fashion and will be located in the main lobby near the School Bus Exhibit and the Job Fair.  The space will be open during Conference Hours and will feature the winning print, interactive art, and animation selections.

The yearly juried student competition in print, linear animation and interactivity provides an excellent opportunity for students working in computer based media to exhibit their creative work nationally and internationally. It is open to all students currently attending school. College and university submissions are handled separately from primary and secondary school submissions. We ask professors and teachers to encourage their students to enter this prestigious competition.

Selected projects will be on exhibit at the annual SIGGRAPH conference. Winning entries will also tour nationally and internationally for approximately one year with the Space-Time Traveling Student Exhibition conducted by the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee. Selected projects or project segments from the entries may be included on the ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee web site and in promotional materials distributed at the conference. The first place winner in each competition will receive one Conference Access pass to the SIGGRAPH Conference.
