Nominations for the Steven A. Coons award, the Computer Graphics Achievement award and the Significant New Researcher award

Your nomination should be brief, and one nomination for a person is just as powerful as ten are: we'll compile a list of nominated individuals and examine each carefully, along with others the committee feels are worthy of consideration. We'll know, therefore, how many SIGGRAPH papers your candidate has written, which ones they are, and some of his/her related work, students, etc. Thus a nomination that says

I nominate Joseph Fourier for this year's Computer Graphics Achievement award. Although he has published no SIGGRAPH papers, his work on series forms for functions and on solutions of PDEs has had a profound impact on every area of the field, as have his academic descendants. -- John (Spike) Hughes

is completely adequate. (Because Fourier is no longer alive, he won't win the award, however.)
