Sande Scoredos, Exec Dir of Tech Training for Sony Pictures Imageworks dies at 63

Longtime SIGGRAPH champion, volunteer and committee member leaves her legacy in the thousands of animation and vfx students she mentored and in the memorable SIGGRAPH sessions, events and Computer Animation Festivals she help organize.

Sande Socredos was a deeply respected member of the SIGGRAPH community, a true force in the industry and a 'go-to' person to make things happen.  She was the 2001 Computer Animation Festival Chair, Curator Chair for the 2008 CAF, sat on many CAF juries and organized many Chapters events.  She helped bring many exclusive SONY Pictures Imageworks sessions to SIGGRAPH and was one of our biggest champions, delighting in the values of information dissemination and excellence.
