 Information Services

The Information Services Committee (ISC) provides information services support to the ACM SIGGRAPH community.  Responsibilities include managing/maintaining the siggraph.org servers infrastructure (software/hardware), managing the software that runs the ACM SIGGRAPH organization website and websites for SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia.  Specific content/architecture is provided by the client committees and various contractors.  The committee also handles community (volunteer, contractor, member) requests for access to installed technologies, evaluating and installing new technology offerings, acting as a liaison on technical tasks between ACM SIGGRAPH, ACM, and contractors.  The ISC does not develop large scale applications internally though it serves as a technical support resource when such systems are being developed by a group within the community.

 Education

The ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee works to support computer graphics education as well as the use of computer graphics in education. Computer graphics education encompasses technical, creative, and developmental studies in curricular areas ranging from computer science to digital arts. The Education Committee undertakes a broad range of projects and activities in support of the CG education community, such as curriculum studies, resources for educators, and SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia conference-related activities.

A new focus of the Education Committee is to develop educational offerings that build upon existing content and/or new content that could be delivered year round. The committee will investigate professional development platforms, delivery channels and topic areas for ACM SIGGRAPH community. This could include relationships with outside providers of professional development services.
