ACM SIGGRAPH Award Nominations Due January 30
The ACM SIGGRAPH Awards program recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the computer graphics community through their research, teaching, service, writing or art. It’s not too late to submit nominations for the following 2011 ACM SIGGRAPH Awards:
Steven Anson Coons Award
The Steven Anson Coons award is given in odd-numbered years to an individual to honor that person's lifetime contribution to computer graphics and interactive techniques.
Significant New Researcher Award
The Significant New Researcher Award is awarded annually to a researcher who has made a recent significant contribution to the field of computer graphics and is new to the field. The intent is to recognize people very early in their career who have already made a notable contribution and are likely to make more.
Computer Graphics Achievement Award
The Computer Graphics Achievement Award is given each year to recognize an individual for outstanding long-lasting achievements in computer graphics and interactive techniques.
The Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement in Digital Art will also be presented at SIGGRAPH 2011; nominations for this award were due December 20.
