New ACM SIGGRAPH Education Site

The ACM SIGGRAPH Education Committee site has been updated and moved to education.siggraph.org. The new site employs the Plone content management system now in use by ACM SIGGRAPH, which will offer a host of useful features. One such feature, already in place, is the ability for users to post comments about published items. This Fall, the Education Committee will be developing an online Education Database to replace the former Academic Index, which is no longer operational.

Recent additions to the Education site include the 2006 Education Committee Catalog, the Space-Time Student Competition Calendar, the Curriculum Knowledge Base report, and a preliminary report on the Graphics Workshop at the recent Eurographics 2006 conference in Vienna. The Education Committee invites the education community (and all those interested in computer graphics and digital arts education) to visit the new site, offer feedback, and contribute.
