Chair of the Small Conferences Committee
The ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee has recently established the Small Conferences Committee and we are seeking a Chair for this committee. The search will remain open until May 26. If you are interested please contact Scott Lang (scott_lang@siggraph.org). Here is a description of the committee.
Charge:
The Small Conferences Committee (SCC) will be responsible for overseeing all of the ACM SIGGRAPH conferences, workshops, symposia, etc., except for our two large conferences, i.e., SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia. The SCC will implement the policy of the ACM SIGGRAPH Executive Committee with regards to the appropriateness and standards for such events. The SCC will approve the TMRFs for sponsored, co-sponsored, and in-cooperation
events. The SCC should be pro-active in seeking the possibility of new events with other ACM SIGs and other ACM SIGGRAPH affiliates and/or partners. The SCC should also relay any concerns, issues, or suggestions from the community to the EC.
SCC structure
It is suggested that the SCC have a Chair who is responsible for overall operations, at least one EC liaison, and several members who are familiar with the different technical and creative areas of possible events. The ACM SIGGRAPH Project Manager will assist the SCC in evaluating the TMRFs. The ACM SIGGRAPH Treasurer should be a member because of the the financial aspects of the committee
