ACM SIGGRAPH and Eurographics are pleased to announce that there will be another computer graphics education workshop this summer, held in conjunction with the Eurographics 06 conference in Vienna and its conference education programme.
The main auditorium of the venue, the Austrian Academy of Sciences. (C) 2005, A.L.Fuhrmann. Click image for full-sized panorama.
Once again, this is a working event at which we will address a key problem and expect to produce a statement or recommendation on it. Attendance will be by invitation based on position papers that address the workshop theme, and we welcome position papers from anyone. This year the theme is "Defining an International Curriculum in Computer Graphics", reflecting the European interest in responding to the Bologna requirements for education in the EU.
Key dates are:
- Position papers due April 28,
- Invitations extended June 9,
- Workshop date September 9.
The URL for more information on the workshop is http://www.lsi.upc.edu/~mfairen/cge2006/ and you are strongly encouraged to look there before preparing a position paper.
Interested persons are also directed to the Eurographics conference
education programme. The URL for that programme is http://www.cg.tuwien.ac.at/events/EG06/education.php. The deadline for submissions to that programme is the same as that for
the workshop.
We hope to see you in Vienna at the conference and the workshop.
